Grandpa's Pine Tar Soap - National Psoriasis Foundation Recognized

A 146-year-old bar soap that's been around since 1878, made with 100% plant-based pine tar. Known for its incredibly strong smell (seriously, it smells like a campfire had a baby with a tire fire), but it's one of the only soaps recognized by the National Psoriasis Foundation.

In my experience, using it daily for about 3-4 weeks helped reduce my psoriasis patches by maybe 60-80%. Not a cure by any means - just another tool that happened to work well for me alongside fermenting and other healing efforts. The constant itching decreased significantly, which was honestly the biggest relief.

What to expect:

  • Initial smell is shocking (store in airtight container)
  • Smell on skin fades within 30-60 minutes
  • Smaller bars (3-4 oz) that dissolve faster than regular soap
  • Can be drying - follow with moisturizer
  • Results vary widely between people

Ingredients: Simple formula with pine tar oil, no synthetic fragrances or common irritants. Works as a 3-in-1 (face, body, hair) though it's not the most luxurious experience.

Many people with psoriasis, eczema, and pregnancy rashes (PUPPP) report good results, but like everything else with skin conditions - what works for one person might not work for another.
